Catamaran Cruising (ASA 114), May Mentors
This weekend, May 1st, we have one mentor spot left for the 9am sailing shove off from Watergate Saturday. One of our students had to change their plans at the last minute, so a spot is available to fill the trip.
The Catamaran trip to Freeport is set for Tuesday evening May 11th. We will be boarding the Cat Tuesday evening, shoving off Wednesday and heading towards the Gulf for a sail south. With all the Gulf mentor sails being full for May (we are having 3), we decided to board the Cat and get going with a 4th. We have two spots left for the sail, if you would like to join in the Tuesday Evening to Thursday Evening Catamaran cruise, the sailing will be superb.
The 35' is a beauty, plenty of room.
With the other sessions filling up we also have a mentor program for Galveston set up Monday the 10th of May running thru Wednesday the 12th. This is just opening up with the plans set for some open blue water sailing, so right now we have room for four to go on the mentor sail to Galveston and the Gulf.
Well the kayaking camping trip went well, Gus will be updating us on this soon.
Don't forget, the Stand Up Paddling classes are starting May 22nd. You may have seen the paddler who set across the Atlantic not long ago. She ran into quite alot of sealife, had a wonderful trip and is now on international TV. If you want to look at the stand up paddling boards we will have them there on the 22nd.
Ladye is holding a ladies day out mentor sail in May as well as her infamous kayaking trip which is set for May 16th, Sunday at 8am. If you want to join in let her know about either the ladies day out and/or the kayaking trip to the wildlife refuge.
Ok folks, you take care, and if you want to join in let us know.
Thanks
